Tudung means headscarf in Malay, and TudungPeople is a brand designing hijabs and modest wear.

TudungPeople was formed in Malaysia with the dream of making hijab for everyone. With collections that span over 100 various designs and prints, we continue to pave the way for comfortable and beautiful hijabs made for every woman.

We have distributors over 13 countries and have since established our presence in the United Kingdom as of summer 2025.

FAQ

Why are your prices different to TudungPeople Malaysia?

In deciding our prices, we have to take into account the costs of shipping from Malaysia, VAT, and customs tax.

What is your shipping policy?

1. What is the cost for shipping within the UK?

We offer FREE shipping for orders totalling £50 and above using RoyalMail or Evri. The standard shipping rates are £3.99 for standard mail, and £5.99 for 1-day delivery.

2. How long does it take for my parcel to reach me?

It will take up to 3-5 working days for standard delivery, and 1 working day for express delivery if the order is made before 6pm.

3. How do I track my order?

You will be emailed your tracking number once it has been dispatched. Please check your junk box if you cannot locate the email.

4. Can I make changes to my shipping address once the order is placed?

Sure thing! If you need to change your shipping address after placing the order, simply reach out to our customer support via email as soon as possible. We'll do our best to assist you, provided the order hasn't been dispatched yet.

5. Do you ship to the Republic of Ireland or the rest of Europe?

At the moment, we don’t unfortunately, but we have plans to introduce this in the future. 

What is your refunds policy?

At TudungPeople, we strive to ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not satisfied, we are here to help.


1. Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds are only applicable under the following conditions:

  • You received a defective or damaged item (e.g., manufacturing flaws, tears, stains, or other visible defects).
  • The wrong item was sent to you.
  • An item is missing from your order.

Please note: Sizing discrepancies or color variations due to monitor settings are not considered defects unless explicitly stated in the product description.

Not Applicable for Innerwear & Accessories: For hygiene and safety reasons, refunds, exchanges, or store credit are not available for innerwear or accessories. Please review these items carefully before purchasing.

2. Non-Refundable Items

We do not offer refunds for:

  • Change of mind (we recommend reviewing product details carefully before purchasing).
  • Items that have been worn, washed, or altered.
  • Items returned without their original tags and packaging.
  • Sale or promotional items (unless defective or incorrect).
  • Digital or downloadable products (unless the product fails to meet advertised functionality).

3. Refund Process

  1. Contact our customer service team at tudungpeople.unitedkingdom@gmail.com within 15 days of receiving your order.
  2. Provide your order number and clear photos of the defective, damaged, or incorrect item.
  3. Once your request is approved, we will process your refund within 5-7 business days.
  4. Refunds will be issued via your original payment method.

4. Refund Timelines by Payment Gateway

The time it takes for refunds to reflect in your account depends on the payment method used. Below are the estimated timelines:

  • Atome: Refunds typically take 3-5 business days to reflect in your Atome account after processing.
Note: These timelines are estimates and may vary depending on the payment provider or bank. If you don’t see the refund within the expected timeframe, please contact your payment provider or our customer service team for assistance.

5. Exchanges & Store Credit

If you prefer, we can offer an exchange instead of a refund:

  • Exchanges: We’ll send you the correct item at no additional cost (for defective or incorrect items).
Note: Exchanges are not available for innerwear or accessories.

6. Return Shipping

  • For defective or incorrect items, we will cover the return shipping costs. A prepaid return label will be provided upon approval.
  • For all other returns (e.g., change of mind), the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Note: Return shipping policies do not apply to innerwear, intimates, or accessories, as these items are non-returnable.

7. TikTok Shop Refunds

For orders placed via TikTok Shop, refunds are handled directly by TikTok. TudungPeople can only accept or appeal return requests. Once the return is complete, TikTok processes the refund. For refund issues, please contact the TikTok Shop Help Center.


8. Environmental Responsibility

We encourage customers to reuse packaging when returning items or consider donating unwanted items to reduce waste. Together, we can make a positive impact on the environment!

1. What happens if I miss the 14-day deadline?

While we encourage timely requests, we may consider exceptions for extenuating circumstances. Please contact us to discuss your situation.

2. Can I exchange for a different size or color?

Yes! If the item is available, we’re happy to arrange an exchange at no extra cost (for defective or incorrect items).

3. Do you charge a restocking fee?

No, we do not charge restocking fees for eligible returns.

4. Are innerwear and accessories returnable?

No, for hygiene and safety reasons, innerwear and accessories are non-returnable and non-exchangeable. Please choose these items carefully before purchasing.

5. How long does it take to receive my refund?

Refund processing times vary by payment method:

  • Paypal: 7 days

Do you have a physical store?

Not at the moment, but inshaAllah, pray that one day we do! We hope to host in-person pop-up stalls as part of larger events -- follow us on social media or via our newsletter to keep updated.

Can I request products?

Yes, you can!

Get in touch with us and you can request specific existing products from TudungPeople Malaysia. Please ensure you are prepared to pay upfront & wait for the next shipping date. The deadline for pre-ordering is the 28th of every month.

Old collections or hot-selling items may or may not be amenable to request, but please do not hesitate to ask.

What do you mean by pre-order?

When a product is not stocked, you can still purchase the product with a 5% discount but just wait a little longer.

Pre-orders for each month close on the 28th, meaning delivery will be at the first week of each month.

For example, if you pre-order a product on 15th October, it will arrive in the first week of November.

If you pre-order a product on the 28th of January, it will arrive in the first week of February.

Do you ship outside the UK?

We ship to the UK and Ireland.
